How a sympathetic thought turned into reality just within 7 days. In the face of injustice around the world, we often ask what can we do? “what can one man do?” Will my efforts make any difference? And then we stop. Because it’s all too much. The reality is the opposite. Its always just one man – or woman – that makes all the difference. Here’s one example, of one man, making all the difference: Rana Basharat. Only 7 days ago he watched – like all of us – news reports that the Rohingya people were being persecuted by the Myanmar state agencies. Unlike the rest of us, he decided to something; he decided to raise his voice. And he wanted all of us to help him. He got in touch with, and spoke directly to, a Rohingyan refugee.
